Pearlized Etched Plastic Ampoule

James Alexander Corp. has introduced a pearlized, etched version of its plastic ampoule package. The raised etching can be used for a company name or logo. The patented plastic ampoule allows users to activate the package with a gentle squeeze, rupturing the internal membrane. Getting Down to the Nitty Gritty: New Tactile Coating

Shorewood Packaging’s Nitty Gritty is a new special tactile coating that gives customers a value-added decorative option. The coating—created by adding particles to a UV coating base through a silk-screen printing process—can be opaque or transparent, allowing any color, graphic or text printed beneath the application to be visible. Softube Offers New Fliptop

H. Obrist’s Softube is now available with a new fliptop cap. Developed in cooperation with Menshen, a manufacturer of closure systems, the new cap results in an attractive packaging solution for semi-solid products.  Softube, ranging from 50-300mL, consists of flexible material and a two-part closing system including the shoulder part and the cap. The structure of the flexible material can be two- to four-layer laminate with foil and non-foil barriers available. Label Printer for Short-Runs

Lumson’s Victoria Line

Lumson’s Victoria line, which combines a square shape on the bottom with an oval on the top, is an all-plastic bottle made of two separated layers of plastic glued together. When the bottle is decorated on the outer layer with Lumson’s screen printing, hot stamping or tampoprinting, it creates a reflected shadow on the inner surface, giving a 3D effect.
